Identity theft scams are common in the USA and it happens often in banks, where people cashes checks that don’t belong to them. T&T Worldwide detected this opportunity and contacted us to design an electronic device that offers different ways to verify person’s identity with a new set of technology. We managed the whole design process working with the internal cross-functional team of T&T Worldwide, facilitating a design research in banks, where we saw this kind of products used in a real situation.

  • Our design intention was to create an easy to use device that conveys trustability, safety and innovation.

I made different user’s research with cashiers in banks to understand the context and the way they use similar devices. An insight I got from them was: “a colleague paid a check to the wrong person, and we couldn’t identify the guy, because what you could only see in the photo was his chest”.
